It went off the air in 2007. But, rumor has is that Netflix has ordered new “Gilmore Girls” episodes from series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino. The plan is still in the early stages, so no original cast has signed on. But the creator says if they’re going to do it, it will have to be done perfectly. “It would have to be the right everything — the right format, the right timing,” she said. “If it ever happened, I promise we’ll do it correctly.”
Sherman-Palladino has long said she knew what four word would end the series, but unfortunately, she didn’t work on Gilmore Girls’ final seventh season, so we never got to hear those words.
The deal is said to be for Netflix to produce 4 90 minutes episodes.
