The list of Christmas lights being recalled by Canadian Tire has grown to 45. The retailer says the lights, sold under the Holiday Collection brand should not be used for safety reasons. They can be returned to the store for a refund.
Testing by Health Canada has determined that lights might pose a fire and electric shock hazard to consumers. One report of a person suffering a minor shock has been received.
The recall began two weeks ago with a warning about 12 types of lights. Another 33 types were added to the list yesterday. For a full list of the affected products, please visit Health Canada’s website.
