Having a family member (or close friend) that’s undergoing cancer treatment – – while you’re miles away – – is a tough thing to deal with. You want to be there for them…with them.
This video made me tear up, thinking back to my mother’s recent battle with cancer..and not being able to be there for her chemo appointments. (Luckily, my sister was with her for those sessions. And for that…I’m grateful).
Mary Glasure of Ohio was recently at the hospital preparing herself for her first round of chemotherapy for breast cancer, when a particularly “rude” doctor said that he wanted to hurry things up.
But then the “doctor” removed his surgical mask to reveal that he was (in fact) her 24-year-old son, Corey. They had not seen each other in nearly two years, since he’s currently a US Marine.
Mary immediately weeps upon seeing her son. Let’s see how long it takes before you start crying too…
