Costco Canada is offering free Hepatitis A vaccinations to anyone who purchased a frozen berry mix that has been recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. (The agency on Saturday recalled Nature’s Touch Organic Berry Cherry Blend, due to possible contamination).
The frozen mix is sold exclusively at Costco stores in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Public Health Agency says the product is linked to 13 cases of Hepatitis A, which can cause inflammation of the liver. Vaccinations can prevent the onset of symptoms, including fever, vomiting and diarrhea, if given within two weeks of exposure.
