I’ll admit it – – I’m a big chicken when it comes to rollercoasters. I don’t like big drops. And, I don’t “do” upside-down. Basically, the Taxi Jam ride at Canada’s Wonderland is about the extent of my thrill limit.
So, watching this video that has surfaced from Texas has convinced me to stay off those Rails of Horror.
Delbert Latham and his family were enjoying a night out at Wonderland Amusement Park in Armarillo. He and his son Kaysen decided to ride a small roller coaster called the Mousetrap. Shortly after the ride started , little Kaysen’s seatbelt became unhinged. Watch the courageous (and comforting) dad go into action. Wow!
But THIS makes it even worse:
“When I told the guy at the end of the ride, he stated that he knew that had happened sometimes,” Delbert said on Facebook. Delbert also claims that the ride operator continued to let people on the ride after being informed of the problem.
Since the video has started going viral, the park released a statement, saying that the car containing the broken belt was removed, and the ride was fixed by Saturday.
