I’ve never had the chance to see Beyoncé in concert – and to be honest, I don’t think I ever will – but if I did, I’m sure that I would be pretty focused on the stage. Even if the closest you’ve come to seeing Beyoncé live is one of her Super Bowl Halftime Shows, you know damn well that she puts on a hugely energetic and engaging show. I mean, just look at this:
Pretty hard to look away from that, am I right?
Apparently not so for everyone. Earlier this week, this particular gentleman went viral when he was caught reading at Queen Bey’s show in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Got to laugh about the guy reading at the back during Beyonce’s show in Raleigh, like “OK, I’ll go…” (Packs book) pic.twitter.com/Rz459A8KRv

Now here’s the actual video itself:
George Papageorgiou is the gentleman’s name, and he wasn’t there specifically to see the show. He had been there with his wife working concessions for his church, and once they were finished up, they decided to go have a seat. After watching for a little bit, Papageorgiou decided it was a good time to get some reading done. He has since given this interview to a local newscast:
The book? One that he’s read seven or eight times, including at a Beyoncé show: Jules Verne‘s Danube Pilot, in Greek.
The man has some literary taste, at least. He also says he’s pretty amused by the reaction he’s gotten online, saying he’s had quite a laugh at some of the comments about him online.
Okay, quick: Name an artist whose show you would sooner read a book through! Post in the comments!
