I got a chill down my spine last night – – and it wasn’t from the temperature drop.
A group of public high school students from southwest Chicago (a “rough” part of the city) came out on stage to perform for the “America’s Got Talent” judges. It was like a real-life episode of “Glee”…but without all the drama!
Their teacher (who deserves special mention for going above and beyond to lead this group) described how these kids (all between the ages of 15 and 18) practise in a school stairwell. A student told Simon “We just want to show people that despite where we come from, we can do anything.”
Listen to their beautiful and harmonic cover of One Direction’s “Night Changes”. Good luck the rest of the way “Musicality”!
