I’ve never waxed my legs – or any part of my body, for that matter – so I can’t say I know from experience… But from watching others, I have a bit of an idea of just how painful it is.
So how does a bikini wax feel ?… Think about that one scene in the movie 40 year old Virgin.. pic.twitter.com/NRKV0eVSG3

Not that I’ve ever had a real desire to, but given that my body hair is pretty similar to what we can see of Steve Carell’s there, I don’t really have a want to ever wax any part of my body.
Then again, if I wanted to wax my legs, I get the impression it might not be AS painful as, well, pretty much everywhere else. I only say that because this dad in Quebec waxed his legs with help from a drone last week, and he seemed pretty fine with it. David Freiheit has been playing around and making videos with drones now for a little while, and his latest experiment was to see if a drone could help him get rid of that pesky leg hair. Have a look:
See? His daughter thinks he’s going to scream, but it never really comes out as a full-on scream. He seems more stoked that his plan worked than anything, so maybe that distracted him from the pain I would imagine he’s feeling. He’s braver still than I, since he goes for a second pass with another wax strip. Part of me hopes he was planning on waxing his legs for some reason (a bike race, maybe?) and not just to make the video… But if that does turn out to be the case, I have to applaud him for his commitment to making unique and interesting videos.
Like I said above, he really does like playing with his drones and making videos about it. Here’s a couple more fun ones I found on his channel:
Using a drone to knock a cup off his head:
Shooting Roman Candles at a drone:
Pulling one of his kids’ teeth with a drone:
Pulling the other kid’s tooth… Kind of:
And probably my favourite of all his videos – given that I’m a hardcore carnivore – Using a drone to BBQ a steak:
Seeing all the uses this dude has found for his drone makes me wonder if some day we’ll all just stay at home and do literally everything we need to do in the outside world with a remotely controlled drone… I sure hope not.
