Since 1942, residents of Glace Bay ( Nova Scotia) have been lining up just to get their french fries fix at the iconic Glace Bay Chip Wagon.
And this year should see some even larger crowds, as the chip wagon just celebrated its 70th birthday. While no official records exist, it is widely believed to be Canada’s oldest chip truck.
The first box of chips apparently sold for 10-cents!! And while prices have changed since then, the recipe has not.
Where do YOU go when you’ve got a hunger for Chip Wagon fries around Peterborough? (And WHAT do put ON them? Gravy? Salt’n’vinegar? Ketchup? The “works”??!!
