There’s no resisting the urge. You enter through the gates of the Exhibition, and your nose quivers to pick up the scents wafting over the Morrow Park fairgrounds.
Candy apples. Corn Dogs. Poutine. Pizza. Candy Floss. (sniff, sniff)…is that a Beaver Tail that I’m picking up??
That’s my weakness – – those fried pieces of dough pastry (sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar), invented by Grant and Pam Hooker up in Killaloe (ON) back in 1978.
I apologize to my arteries in advance. Pass me a Beaver Tail….and a Tums, please!
