During the hot summer months, there’s not much that’s quite as refreshing as ice cream for a treat that will simultaneously satisfy your sweet tooth AND cool you down. Usually, when we get ice cream, we devour it pretty quickly. You kinda have to – if you don’t it’s going to melt and potentially get all over your hands and clothes.
That’s one of the reasons I’ve never seen an ice cream bar fully melt. Well that, and the fact that I have no self control whatsoever when it comes to ice cream. If you put a tub of the stuff in front of me, there’s a decent chance it’ll be gone within a few minutes.
So it kinda pains me to see all this ice cream going to waste… But it’s pretty mesmerizing to watch this timelapse of a whole bunch of tasty frozen treats being reduced to nothing more than a pool of sweet stickiness.
Isn’t that pretty cool to watch? The channel that posted it, Macro Room, has a couple other pretty awesome macro timelapse videos on their channel.
Have you ever wondered what happens to pills after you take them? Apparently the folks behind Macro Room did, because that’s one of their videos:
Another summer staple is the ol’ backyard bonfire or campfire. I think we’ve all sat by fire and been mesmerized by the combustion happening in front of us before, but it happens too slow to really be able to pick up the changes that are happening with the wood. That’s where a macro timelapse really helps.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go get some ice cream and eat it so fast it doesn’t have a chance to melt.
