It’s been a little cooler over the last couple days, which is certainly a bit of a relief. It’s nice not having to search for creative ways to keep cool. I mean, obviously swimming is one of the best ways to do that. Most people like to go swimming in water, but occasionally you’ll find people who prefer to go for a dip in a different liquid… Like Coke & Mentos. If you don’t have a pool, don’t worry – you can still get in on the trend… You’ll just have to do it on a smaller scale, like in a bathtub.
I always thought the whole point of a bath was to get clean. Well, to a point – I mean, we do end up just laying in a pool of our own filth that way, but I’m sure sitting in water filled with the dirt off our bodies is WAY less sticky than bathing in pop, or any other fluid for that matter. And yet there are still people out there who like to experiment with what they can take a bath in.
What’s the antithesis of cool and refreshing to you? Hot sauce, perhaps?
If that’s the reaction that comes from putting the sauce in your mouth (where it belongs), how would it feel all over your body?
Fortunately, there’s a guy out there testing that kind of thing so you don’t have to. YouTube user CemreCandar seems to have a thing for bathing in liquids that aren’t really made for bathing. In a video he posted earlier this month, he hopped into a hot tub filled with 1250 bottles of hot sauce. This isn’t ghost pepper sauce like the video above, but the result is still probably about what you’re expecting:
There seems to be some question about whether or not that’s real hot sauce he’s in. One of the first thoughts in my head was “how did he get his hands on enough hot sauce to fill a hot tub?” 1250 bottles is an awful lot, but according to the video description, all of the bottles were expired or about to expire, so no money or hot sauce was wasted. The Daily Dot article I first saw this video in seems to think he’s faking it throughout, suggesting the hot pepper he ate was fake too. It calls into question the consistency of the hot sauce he’s splashing around in, but as someone who’s used a lot of hot sauce in his day, it looks like it probably could be legit hot sauce to me.
And even if it’s not, I’m impressed that this guy could manage to play it off like it’s real the whole time.
But yeah, apparently bathing in weird stuff is this guy’s hobby. He’s also got a video of him bathing in 520 pounds of chocolate.
It looks fun enough, I guess… And is probably pretty delicious, but cleaning chocolate out of all the nooks and crannies of a human body seems really unappealing.
When I saw the title for this one, I thought “How the hell does someone take a bath in solids?”
But then I saw that he crushed the Oreos up and put them in milk and put that all into his bathtub, and that made a lot more sense.
Another question that was raised in my mind: How does he clean his bathtub out? He must have a pretty good plumber if he just pulls the drain plug and lets it go… There’s gotta be more to it than that. I want him to make a video on how he drains his tub when he’s done.
But that can wait until after we watch him bathe in beer.
I gotta say, I really don’t understand this guy’s motivation behind doing all this stuff. I certainly would have no desire to – but that’s why he does it: so we don’t have to.
