Got this from the Lakers this morning. Get down and support the guys. Win or Lose it should be an epic game.
The final game.
There is nothing in sports like the seventh game of a championship final.
Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Memorial Centre will feature the home town Century 21 Lakers against the Six Nations Chiefs for the MSL championship and the right to host next week’s Canadian championship Mann Cup series.
It is the third time in three three years the two teams have gone to the seventh game with both teams tasting victory in the last two, both winning on the other team’s home floor.
Both teams have injured players performing, both teams have some of the world’s best lacrosse players. Both teams have won three games.
The Lakers fought long and hard all year to gain home floor advantage.
Many times it gives that team a seventh player . . . the fans. When the fans are loud, the Lakers usually respond. There are no assurances, of course, no guarantees. Both teams are good, both teams will be battling, but only one team has that seventh player advantage.
Wear white, wear blue, wear whatever you want but there are plenty of seats still available for the big tilt Saturday night and the team needs and wants the fans behind them.
One game, 60 nerve wracking minutes; there is nothing better in sports and no better rivalry in lacrosse than the Lakers and Chiefs.
Tickets are available at the Memorial Centre box office and online.
Children seats are only $4.
