Did you ever play with Hot Wheels cars as a kid? When I was a toddler, they were my favourite toys to play with. I mean, being a kid who was pretty into cars and having a dad who was a mechanic and would take me out in his tow truck with him pretty much ensured I’d have some sort of automotive interest.
Now that I’m an adult, I’ve moved on to real cars as one of my hobbies, but as a youngster, I’d spend hours driving those little Hot Wheels cars all over any part of the house I could reach. I even had a few sections of Hot Wheels track that I would occasionally set up. I didn’t do as much with the track as I’ve seen a lot of people do – I just never really had a whole lot of the track pieces… But I loved the elaborate setups people would make for their cars.
So when I spotted this video, it was a throwback to those careless days of my youth. Sure, it’s one thing to watch a car travelling on a track from an outside viewpoint… But what if you could actually drive on the track? This isn’t quite that, but it’s pretty darn close. Check out this awesome road trip on a Hot Wheels car!
If you couldn’t tell, that’s a screenlink video – where multiple videos area edited together to form one smooth cohesive path. It was put together by 5MadMovieMakers on YouTube, who have a number of Hot Wheels videos (which you’ll see below) as well as marble roller coasters, K’Nex roller coasters, Lego roller coasters, etc. etc.
Among the other places the person behind the account has set up Hot Wheels tracks are the beach:
One in the sandbox at home:
And one in the snow on the back deck:
Then again, those all pale in comparison to the Mother of all Hot Wheels tracks:
BRB, going to buy all the Hot Wheels track pieces I can find…
