Maybe this is kinda like finding out how a magic trick is done. But I couldn’t resist the curiosity either.
“Pingu” – – the lovable claymation penguin – – began as a children’s series in 1986, and mesmerized millions of kids (and parents!) on the screen. Remember? His favourite catchphrase was “noot noot” where he would turn his beak into a speaker??!!)
Perhaps even more intriguing was that voice – – a language all its own. What was Pingu even saying? And who was responsible for making those sounds?
His name is Carlo Bonomi, an Italian voice actor. Watch him in action. (“Noot Noot!”)
