The whole team at 100.5 Fresh Radio would like to congratulate Jake Meade for being December’s Kid with Class!

Here is why Jake was nominated by his teacher (Raylee O’Rourke) at St. Alphonsus Catholic Elementary School:
I am the teacher of a Grade 4/5 class at St. Alphonsus, Peterborough. Myself, the classroom nurse, along with our two Educational Assistants decided to write about Jake Meade. Jake displays compassion, empathy and care in all aspects of his student life. A student in our classroom named Mitchell Henson is medically fragile. All students in the class are great friends with Mitchell and show the positive qualities that Jake embodies. Although each student in the class is a special friend to Mitchell, Jake stands out on a daily basis. Jake is a leader and role model in our classroom for all students. Not only in his interactions with Mitchell but in his academic, and extracurricular participation as well. Jake is inclusive and sensitive in working alongside Mitchell. Multiple times throughout the day, we observe Jake physically, emotionally and academically assisting Mitchell. Jake truly understands his needs and communication processes, in turn helping his peers and support staff interact appropriately with Mitchell. Jake is very active in hockey outside of school. He is always sure to come in each day and tell Mitchell his exciting news. Jake is not concerned so much with scoring goals, or winning games; he really enjoys the sport and friendly competition. In a world in which we see so much hate, ignorance and misunderstanding, it is unbelievable to see such a young person making such a big difference. Jake exudes a high level of care, empathy and compassion, for which we believe he should be rightfully recognized.
For being the 100.5 Fresh Radio Kid With Class for December, Jake receives:
*A $100 R.E.S.P from Lighthouse Private Wealth,
*A $100 Lansdowne Place gift card from Darling Insurance,
*A class lunch courtesy of PJ’S Diner.
