It’s the annual fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society and it’s going to be huge this year, as the game is between our Petes and their longtime rivals the Oshawa Generals. Both teams are hotly competing for the #1 spot in the Eastern Conference, so it should be great hockey. Former Peterborough Pete and now a member of the Petes coaching staff, Kurtis Foster is helping out, and ardent hockey fan, Petes billet and community booster Julia Tanner joins Kurtis as co-chair.
Pink in the Rink is an important event for the Petes, their fans and for the Canadian Cancer Society – but also for anyone who has ever been touched by cancer in some way.
And that’s pretty much all of us. Let’s all be there to support the event…
