If Skippy peanut butter is your family’s “PB” of choice, you’re going to soon have to find a new favourite – – or start getting it from another one of the 60 countries it’s still available in.
The makers of Skippy (Hormel Foods in the United States) actually discontinued the brand in Canada several months ago. Since then, it’s been slowly disappearing from store shelves.
The company says it stopped selling Skippy in this country because of “competition and pricing that hurt the brand’s profitability”.
“We are Skippy Dippers. It’s our favourite spread…”
