Victoria Park in Peterborough was closed for almost 12 hours following an early morning incident that sent one man to hospital.
Peterborough Police responded to the downtown park around 1:30 a.m. September 27, 2017 for reports of an injured man.
There are unconfirmed reports the victim was stabbed.
Police say the man was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries.
The park – located between Murray and Brock streets – remained closed until 12:30 p.m.. The public was asked to remain out the park which is in front of the Peterborough County court house. Midafternoon, police said they had one man in custody for questioning and were not seeking any further suspects. No word on charges.
