On Sunday, Alyssa Milano urged her Twitter followers and fellow stars to stand together against sexual assault.
Here’s what she tweeted: “Suggested by a friend: If all women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote ‘me too’ as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem. If you’ve been sexually harassed or assaulted write ‘me too’ as a reply to this tweet.
Alyssa’s post has been replied to thousands and thousands of times since Sunday…and has even crossed over to the Facebook social media platform.
It is alarming. And thank you, to everyone who has spoken up.
The magnitude of the problem has clearly been shown. (Mission accomplished.) And to answer the critics who say this hashtag movement won’t change anything until men change…men are now responding with their own positive hashtag.
Men on Twitter are sharing the hashtag #HowIWillChange, and talking about changes they will make to their everyday lives to challenge sexual harassment.
