Jerry Gosse and his wife (Missy) now live in the London area.
And, at the urging of his wife, Jerry made a shelter for a feral cat that was hanging around their home. (You may have seen these homemade feral cat shelters made out of Rubbermaid tote containers – – they’re awesome!)
Unfortunately, the cat may have lost its residency to another animal in the neighbourhood. Jerry discovered a skunk inside the shelter…while the feral cat parked itself on a patio chair!!
Do you have feral cats in your neighbourhood?
Operation Catnip is a non-profit, grass roots organization addressing the homeless cat population in Peterborough.
Focused on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), their goal is to humanely limit the number of unwanted, unowned cats by trapping, neutering, vaccinating and releasing them back where they were trapped.
A small number of animal-loving volunteers perform all of the trapping and transporting duties.
They have NO office or “headquarters” but co-ordinate our work by phone, email, text and monthly meetings.
