Our valued colleague has just delivered her last newscast with us. In the decade of so that ‘JP,’ as we call her, has been in town she’s been a scribe for the Peterborough Examiner, KawarthaNOW, held various other broadcast portfolios and for the last few years here with us at Corus with FRESH/WOLF and CHEX Television. JP has also been an active volunteer, notably as a member of the Peterborough POP Ensemble.
Jeanne has been a friend to many, and professionally her previous journalism chops at CBC Regional radio has been evident on more than one occasion. We can also tell you she has a recipe for a wicked Shepherd’s Pie. That meal was delivered to our home when we had a family emergency two years ago, and it was a welcome gift.
Jeanne is heading north for a communications portfolio, and we wish her well.
Last Friday some staffers gathered at the Ale House for a Bon Voyage dinner. I’m in the back.
Happy trails JP.
And don’t be a stranger.
