You’d probably think that taking a nap right after drinking a coffee would be impossible, right?
Well, apparently not because taking a ‘coffee nap’ is actually a thing according to Men’s Health who talked to Dr. Kerem Bortecen, from NYC Surgical Associates. Bortecen says, “the concept of a coffee nap originally came from a 1997 study that compared the effects of coffee and napping on nighttime driving performance. The study showed that coffee consumption followed by a brief nap was more effective at keeping drivers awake and alert than either coffee or naps did alone.”
“When coffee is consumed, the caffeine gets absorbed and starts affecting the nervous system within 30 minutes,” says Dr. Bortecen. So by the time you wake up after a quick snooze the caffeine will just start to affect you and you’ll feel totally energized.

Just make sure not to overdo it and to keep your caffeine intake to 400mg a day.
